Tuition Fees

Each enrolled student has to pay a tuition fee. The amount of the fee, and discounts ot waiving conditions, depend on several factors: family income, marks, country of residence.

For a detailed description of the tuition fee mechanism, please read the official document of the university (in italian). If you do not speak italian, you can ask for support at the International Students’ Office: international.students@amm.units.it.

In the following, you will find a brief description of the tuition fee mechanism. The first distinction is whether you are resident in Italy or abroad.

  •  If you are resident in Italy, the amount of the fee depends on your family income, measured accoriding to the ISEE indicator. ISEE can be made for free in any Fiscal Assistance Centers (CAF), run by state, associations and labour unions. It gives an indication of the wealth of the family, measuring income, rents, and family belongings.  Depending on ISEE, the tuition fee can be waived or increase linearly from 0 Euros up to a maximum. The specific ISEE thresholds and maximal fees are determined year by year, and can be retrieved by checking the official webpage of the university.
  • If your are not resident in Italy (i.e. an international student moving to Italy to study DSSC), the tuition fee will be approximatively 300 euros (check however the current fees in the official page of the university).
  • There is also an additional regional tax, whose amount ranges from approximately 120 to 160 euros per year (depending on ISEE, check the official documentation for the updated figures). For international students, its amount is fixed to approximatively 160 euros.
  • Depending on your final Bachelor mark (or on the average of the marks of the previous year) you may be entitled to a discount of the tuition fee. More details are to be found in the official documentation. International students which want to check if they are eligible should contact the Tax Office at tasse.studenti@amm.units.it.
